Google Analytics has been the long time suite of tools that helps webmeisters track site pageviews, traffic, referring sites and more. This week Google unleashed a real-time dashboard that updates on the fly.

Google Analytics typically had a delay of around three hours and sometimes longer, but bringing real-time statistics brings Google up to speed with other products like Chartbeat. You can now use Analytics to gauge the impact of social channels like Twitter and Facebook without having to wait 24 hours to see results of a campaign or link you posted. If you want to see the new real-time feature in action, you’ll have to activate the “New Version” by clicking the link in the upper right corner of you Analytics screen.

In addition to this new feature, Google has also announced a premium tier for enterprise companies who want more information than currently offered with Google Analytics free service. Companies will be able to get phone support, SLA guarantees, and increased data limits for an unspecified price.
