So apparently there is an issue with watching age restricted videos on Youtube through the app on Android whether you are 18 or not. This will not help you to bypass the restriction but simply fix the issue.
All I wanted to do was watch a video that I had heard of which seemed to be restricted and wouldn’t allow me to watch no matter what I had done:
- Simply login to Youtube on your computer
- Click on your username to open the dropdown
- Select settings
- Select profile setup
- Under the age section be sure to select display my age
- Now try to view your video again on your Android device. Done!
