How To Turn Your iPad Into A Second Monitor

Use your iPad as a second displayIt’s always good to have a second monitor to hook up to your laptop or computer, but we all don’t have the luxury to have one or the space for one. Wouldn’t it be nice to wirelessly connect your iPad to your machine as another screen and be able to drag windows over to it? That is what the Air Display app can do. But it’s not limited to the iPad, you can also extend your desktop over to your iPod or iPhone if you so wish

Air Display is the most simple and elegant of the number of remote screen apps. You simply download a client application to your Mac or PC, install the app from iTunes, and then select your iPad from a pull down menu on your computer.

Keep in mind this app requires that your iPad and your computer be on the same WiFi network. Air Display works in landscape and portrait mode and you can change by simply rotating the device.

This is a nifty little app which is well worth the $9.99 price tag in the App Store. Being able to drag other applications such as chat, mail, or others off of you main screen but keep them in sight is priceless.
