Today, Apple announced its new iPhone 4S at the “Let’s Talk iPhone” Event and offering it to AT&T, Verizon, and now Sprint. Apple will also continue to provide the iPhone 4 for $99 to AT&T and Verizon.
As if that weren’t enough, they will keep the iPhone 3GS around and be offered for FREE with a contract on AT&T. Having this free option will help Apple compete with the many cheaper and free Android phones. The 3GS is the oldest iPhone able to support the new iOS 5 firmware.
