Sprint customers are complaining and reporting slow data speeds on their new iPhones. Some even report having difficulty using Siri over 3G because Sprint’s data network was unreliable. There is a lengthy discussion on this on Sprint’s forum.
One Sprint customer says his iPhone and his Evo 3D are both slow. Another says his Samsung Epic Touch with $G turned off returns 3 times faster speeds than his iPhone 4S.
Is this a sign that Sprint’s network is unable to handle the bandwidth of all of these smartphones? Is there another reason they are the number three network aside from phone offerings? Only time will tell if this was an iPhone launch issue, a more widespread problem, or something in between.
