According to reports, the Chronic Dev Team has the untethered iOS 5 jailbreak complete and working on all A4 devices. This includes the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad 1, iPod 3G and iPod 4G.
While the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 aren’t included in this list just yet, hacker Pod2G of the Dev Team has tweeted he will be diving into hacking the 4S now. So expect to see a jailbreak exploit in the near future.
There is currently no known release date for the jailbreak, but we will keep you posted.
Until the untethered jailbreak is released, your only option is to apply tethered jailbreak using Redsn0w, Sn0wbreeze, or Ac1dSn0w on iOS 5.0/5.0.1.
