With a new focus on speed, simplicity and Groups, LinkedIn has decided to overhaul its iPhone and Android apps. Along with this they have launched an HTML 5 mobile site.
With the new LinkedIn app focused on speed, the company says the mobile apps are up to 10 times faster making searching and checking updates less painful.
The new LinkedIn apps have four key areas including Updates, Inbox, You, and Groups. Obviously, the Updates section lets you view a feed of recent activity and the Inbox shows your messages and LinkedIn requests. The You area accesses your profile, allows you to update your profile, view connections and share updates.
The most requested feature, Groups, is new to LinkedIn apps allowing access to your groups. You can now browse discussions and post discussions throughout your groups.
