Adobe Edge is the first professional HTML5 editing tool on the market which allows users to create animated content using HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript. Edge is currently available for free as to entice feedback from developers.
Adobe Edge is not meant to replace Adobe Flash but to coexist as Adobe supports both platforms according to Adobe VP of design and web engineering, Paul Gubbay. Adobe has also launched a Flash to HTML5 converter as a step in supporting HTML5.
