Starbucks has been offering free songs through iTunes since 2007, but it seems they have now turned to giving away iPhone apps.
Apple and Starbucks have been partnered in the free music and now offer paid applications for free using the “Pick of the Week” cards at the cash register. A code is on the back of the card to be redeemed on iTunes or the App Store.
The first app to be given away is Shazam Encore, a $5.99 app on iTunes which identifies music being played anywhere.
So now you can enjoy your favorite drink with your laptop and iPhone and play with whatever app you get that day!
