Pandora Removes 40 Hour Limit For All Users

Pandora lifts 40 hour limit for all users

[]1Pandora has just announced their new HTML5 music player that will be rolled out to everyone. This means no more Flash and a more modern and slick interface.

On top of that good news, they are also removing the 40 hour cap per month so not to limit the “free” users anymore. Free Pandora users were once prompted to upgrade to a premium “Pandora One” account once they hit the max. Now the limit is gone and users may listen as much as they like, but still with ads. Hey, I guess there has to be some incentive for users to upgrade, right?

Pandora has also been making its own social features more prominent, integrating a new social feed as part of today’s update.

Discovery of Music with Friends – Enhanced listener profiles and a new music feed offer a centralized place to find, like and comment on what friends and like-minded listeners are discovering and enjoying on Pandora. The music feed will roll out slowly over the course of the coming days. In addition to the prominent new “share” button, stations now have their own URLs, making it super easy for listeners to share favorite stations via Twitter, Facebook, or email.
