Google’s Android Market now offering movie rentals to PC, phones, or tablets

Android Market Movie Rentals

Google just announced movie rentals in the Android Market and demonstrated renting movies on the Android Market from your phone, tablet or PC with a single click. Movies are now available in the market but support for all Android 2.2 or higher devices is expected in a couple of weeks. Tablets will see support once they upgrade to Android 3.1. If you are on the PC, it ties back to the new YouTube rental service which allows 30 days to watch an 24 hours once you start watching. I guess this makes up for the higher priced video on demand starting around $2.99 for older movies, $3.99 for new releases, and $4.99 for HD videos.
