Google’s augmented reality glasses were rumored a few months ago, but now they have been revealed as “Project Glass”. While the glasses are very nerdy looking, the overall concept and experience seems useful and fun.
Google Glasses seem like a smartphone with a notification system that you can respond to with your voice. They will warn you of traffic and subway delays as well as route you another way by map. You can set calendar events and even answer calls and text messages by speaking. Check out the futuristic feel of these specs in the video below.
These Google Glasses aren’t set to hit the public just yet, but we are hopeful for some sort of announcement by the end of 2012.
