Sports Teams Start Using iPads For Playbooks, Videos, And More

It looks as though teams are starting to go green, or maybe just transitioning to an easier way of training and organization by using iPads for their playbook needs. Whichever the case, the Tamba Bay Buccaneers seem to have started the wave in the NFL.

Each of their 90 players were given iPads loaded with playbacks, game, practice and situational videos along with other training materials. This is much easier than carrying around paper binds full of team material and easily misplaced. If the iPad is misplaced or stolen, it can easily be remotely wiped of its data.

Moving to this technology puts everything in one place and ease of access, not to mention relating to the younger players in today’s world.

The apps available for playbacks and such on the iPad are not limited to football, but available to many other sports. One major playbook app is DigitalPlaybooks, which are individually customized based on the needs of any team or league standards.
