7″ Acer Iconia Tab A100 Now Available, With Enticing Specs

A100 Acer tabletThe Acer Iconia Tab A100 is the first 7-inch tablet to use the latest Honeycomb (Android 3.2) version. Coming in at just under 1 pound, the small tablet packs a big punch with its specs and price point. The A100 launches today at retail stores across the country starting at $329.

The A100 comes with the typical MicroUSB and Micro HDMI ports allowing you to connect to your television or computer. Like the A500, Acer’s 10-inch model, the A100 supports media streaming through Acer’s clear.fi service. This allows you to wirelessly share media between DLNA-compatible devices.

If you’re one for pictures and video, the Acer Iconia Tab A100 comes with a 5 megapixel camera on the back and a 2 megapixel camera on the front.

To show off, the A100 Acer Iconia packs an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor and 1 GB of RAM. Hopefully this will boost the Flash performance on Android as 10.3 comes pre-installed.

You can get your hands on an 8 GB Acer Iconia Tab 100 for $329 or a 16 GB for $349. Keep in mind that you can also add a MicroSD card of up to 32 GB for more apps and storage.
